1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account, uploading images, or purchasing credits on VectoTrace, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Account Registration & Free Trial Credits

• Verified Registration: You must register with a valid, verified email address or an authenticated OAuth provider (such as Google) to convert images.
• 5 Free Signup Credits: Each newly verified user receives 5 complimentary credits to evaluate VectoTrace's raster-to-SVG conversion quality.
• Anti-Abuse & Single-Account Policy: Creating multiple accounts, using disposable/temporary email providers, or running automated scripts to repeatedly harvest free signup credits is strictly prohibited. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts engaged in credit abuse without notice.

3. Credit Packs, Pricing & Refund Policy

Once your free signup credits are used, you may purchase one-time, pay-as-you-go Credit Packs (such as our Starter Pack (100 credits for $5) or Studio Pack (350 credits for $12)):

• 1 Credit = 1 SVG Conversion: Each successful conversion of an uploaded PNG, JPG, or WEBP image deducts exactly one (1) credit from your account balance.
• Credits Never Expire: Purchased credits do not expire and remain in your account until used. There are no recurring monthly subscription charges.
• Automatic Credit Refund on System Errors: If an image conversion fails or times out due to a server or upstream processing error, our atomic credit ledger automatically refunds the 1 deducted credit back to your account balance immediately.
• Monetary Refund Policy: Because each vectorization incurs immediate, non-recoverable GPU compute costs, used credits are non-refundable. However, if you purchase a Credit Pack by mistake and have not used any credits from that pack, you may request a full 100% monetary refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing hello@vectotrace.com with your order receipt.

4. Intellectual Property & Commercial Rights

• You Own Your Artwork: You retain 100% ownership and copyright of both the original raster images you upload and the resulting SVG vector files generated by VectoTrace.
• Full Commercial Use: You may use the SVG files exported from VectoTrace for any personal or commercial purpose, including client branding, merchandise, print-on-demand products, stock marketplaces, and software interfaces.
• Your Responsibility: You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights and permissions to upload and convert the images you submit to VectoTrace.

5. Acceptable Use & Rate Limits

To maintain service stability for all users, uploads are limited to 10 MB per file in PNG, JPG, or WEBP format, with a rate limit of 5 conversions per minute per account. You agree not to:

• Upload unlawful, defamatory, or malicious files (including exploits or malformed payloads).
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or bypass VectoTrace's API authentication, rate limits, or credit ledger.

6. Stateless Delivery & User Backup Responsibility

Because VectoTrace is a stateless service that does not store a permanent gallery of your converted files on our servers, you are responsible for downloading your generated SVG file before closing or refreshing your browser tab.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

VectoTrace is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. While our AI vectorization engine is designed for high precision, vector output quality depends on the resolution and clarity of your input raster image. To the maximum extent permitted by law, VectoTrace's total liability for any claim arising out of your use of the service shall not exceed the total amount you paid to VectoTrace in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
